When there’s so many things going on in the world and in our everyday lives, it’s so easy to lose track of the goals we have set out to accomplish. I want this bucket list to be a reminder of what I am always striving toward.
A life full of excitement, mind-blowing adventures, and unforgettable experiences!
This will be an ever-increasing list as I find more inspirations.

7 Wonders of the Modern World
✔️ Great Wall of China, China
- Colosseum, Italy
- Christ the Redeemer, Brazil
- Machu Picchu, Peru
- Petra, Jordan
- Taj Mahal, India
7 Natural Wonders of the World
- Northern Lights
- Grand Canyon, USA
- Paricutin, Mexico
- Victoria Falls, border of Zimbabwe and Zambia
- Mount Everest
- Great Barrier Reef, Australia
- Harbor of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Bucket List Destinations
Pyramid of Giza, Egypt
Last remaining 7 Wonders of the Ancient World
Angkor Wat, Cambodia
UNESCO site. Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world (402 acres!!)
What’s it like to walk through this temple complex, maybe even imaging oneself as a treasure hunter (any other gamers?). We will find out.

Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia
Largest salt flat on Earth.
This is probably the closest to feeling like you have the whole world to yourself.
Amazon Rainforest
Aside from all the wildlife that I will get to see in the Amazon rainforest, what excites me the most is piranhas. What I know about piranha is limited to movie scenes such as this: an unfortunate guy falling into a river full of these hungry carnivorous fishes -> a bloody river. The end. *insert ending credits*
That’s why it’s surprising to learn that Piranha fishing tour is a thing. I’m so excited just thinking about how I can see (or catch!!) these creatures. Definitely a bucket list activity for sure.
Pamukkale, Turkey
UNESCO site. Originally a Roman spa resort.
It’s pretty to look at AND the hot springs are okay to soak in. I’m in.
Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Tagged as one of the top luxury honeymoon destinations, it’s a little surprising how Bora Bora is one of the first destinations to end up in my bucket list (considering I’m single and all…) But a girl can dream big, right? One day, it will be a reality.
Experiences
Sunset Safari in Africa
While searching for spring break ideas, I came across this 7 day African safari tour. Immediately, going on an African safari got added to the bucket list. The view is irresistible.

Hot air balloon in Cappadocia
Turkey is already at the top of my list of countries to visit. Cappadocia and its fairy chimneys made it even more of a must-go.
Underwater scooter adventure
I’ve tried underwater walking in Thailand. It was an interesting experience except for the lack of freedom (since everyone’s linked up arm to arm). An underwater scooter adventure sounds like a lot of fun. You get to control the scooter to go where you want!
Cloudy skyline over Dubai, UAE
The view of skyscrapers piercing through the morning fog can only be described as otherworldly.

Train Rides

Trans–Mongolian Railway
Both the Trans-Mongolian Railway and the Trans-Siberian Railway have the same starting route, splitting off at Irkutsk in different directions. While the Trans-Siberian route continues toward Eastern Russia, stopping at Vladivostok, the Trans-Mongolian route will head into Mongolia, ending in China.
My plan is to do the Trans-Mongolian Railway and the Silk Route together.
Silk Road – China portion
Starting from Beijing (that’s where the Trans-Mongolian Railway ends), I will hit all the silk road cities in China and end in Dunhuang. As an oasis connecting the east and the west, Dunhuang is a major stop on the Silk Road route. This is where I will be checking off UNESCO site, Mogao Caves, and taking a picture of me on a camel in the desert.
Grand Canyon Railway
Step abroad to travel back in time to the wild wild west!
I missed out on the Grand Canyon when I went to Las Vegas for a short trip. It’s always been one of my regrets. Now there’s two reasons to go back!
Danube Express
4 day international train from Budapest to Istanbul, passing through the Transylvania countryside.
Road Trips
As much as I enjoy the freedom of solo travel, road trips are something to be enjoyed in the company of another. Which means… Step 1: Find a travel buddy.

Route 66 Road Trip in the US
Passing through 7 states, Route 66 gets you from Chicago to Los Angeles.
This route should be doable in 2 weeks, but I want to do more than just visiting the popular sites. Calculating in various detours and activities, Route 66 could be a month-long trip.
Iceland Road Trip
Drive around the Ring Road. See some geysers. Catch the Northern Lights (checking off another travel goal). Maybe try some of Iceland’s famous fermented shark (not too sure about this one).
